Big Virtual Quiz Night 2020
How it works
1. Before you book a ticket, find 1-5 other persons you want to be in a group with and decide on a group name. (If you join an existing group, make sure you know the name of the group.) Friends or family members from outside the school can also book a space.
Maximum 6 persons per group.

2. To book and pay for your space, click on the blue button below. You will be asked to provide your name, your e-mail address and the quiz group name. Please note, that when you check out, you will be asked to register on the site. Tickets are £ 5.50 per person.
3. Closer to the time you will receive an e-mail from us with the link to the Zoom meeting.

More Details
We hope this will answer some of your questions:
Zoom. The virtual quiz will be held via Zoom. Before the quiz starts, we will send the link to the Zoom meeting to the e-mail address you gave us, when you booked your spaces.

Before and when you are arriving to the quiz (sitting at your computer at home) we will set up breakout rooms on Zoom. This is what we need the group names for: we will allocate each email address to the correct group. Your quiz group is a breakout room for Zoom. This is all happening on our side, nothing you need to worry about.

To answer the questions you will all be sent to your quiz groups. You will then only see and hear your own group members on the screen.
Some of the time of the quiz you will be in the main group together with everyone, including Mr Taylor, the quizmaster. Probably most of the time you will spent in your own quiz group.

7pm. We are aware that 7pm is not ideal for many, but no time earlier or later in the evening will be. Some parents will share a quiz night space and bedtime duties and swap in between (that's fine, as long as everyone tries to keep it fair to other groups). Others will get brownie points from their children and treat them to a movie night. Lucky kids.

Our IT master for the quiz night is Ian Colley.
Thank you, Ian!
